Abby received her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.M.E.) from Grove City College. Her love of learning and innovation then took her to Turbocam International, where she worked as a Product Engineer developing robotic plasma spray processes for jet engine components. She also served as a volunteer high school mentor through the organization Young Life. Abby harnessed this experience in a corporate application and combined it with her love for thriving students to then embark as an Upper School Mathematics teacher for Portsmouth Christian Academy, teaching AP Calculus (AB/BC), Pre-Calculus. She also launched an engineering program at the school.

Abby lives to see the lightbulb go off in her students' eyes. Partnering with students to bring the subject matter to life is one of her specialties. Abby loves to tackle the question, "When will I ever use this in real life?" because she believes education is always inherently useful and beautiful. She is creative in presenting the materials in ways that both speak to their specific learning styles and are compassionate toward individual student needs.

Abby works with students to help them comprehend concepts deeply while imparting the set of problem-solving skills that served her so well as a student and a professional. Abby helps to prepare students to strive for excellence and thoughtfulness while taking responsibility for their educational journey.

Abby tutors students in high school and college in Mathematics (Algebra I/II,  Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB/BC), AP Physics and Chemistry. In addition, she can support Writing, Psychology, English, and French (she is fluent in Français!).
