Stephen has been teaching and tutoring for over 32 years both as a teacher and speech therapist with the New York City Public Schools and as a multi-subject tutor. He holds a B.A. in History from George Washington University, an M.S. in Special Education from Hunter College/CUNY, and graduate credits in Speech Pathology from NYU.
Stephen works primarily with middle and high school students across various subject areas in the humanities, including English, language arts, reading and writing skill development, vocabulary development, building expressive, receptive and social language skills, U.S. and World History, U.S. geography, and U.S. Government. He also enjoys working with students who need help in improving their executive functioning or organizational skills.
Stephen has been a part of the team at Jill Broder’s Tutoring Center since 2023. He prides himself on being a motivational teacher who is very focused on student success.
